The area has attracted a large number of young families because of the affordability of property in the area. The township is also well served by two retirement villages.
Parents with young children are heavy users of the library and the “Homework Club” has encouraged library use for research among older children and teens. Last year’s report “Library Services for Older People – A Marketing Plan” which outlined a strategy and budget for increasing usage by older residents in the township has been implemented and is proving successful so far.
